WORKSHOP DESCRIPTIONS
EXPLORING THE ADVANCED CAPABILITIES OF HIGHER-END CAMERAS
DIGITAL CAMERAS have rapidly evolved since their introduction to retail buyers in the late 1980s. Today’s digital cameras, along with an astounding array of lenses, speedlights, and other accessories, can capture vivid, ultra-high-resolution images under circumstances unimaginable even a few years ago. In this 2-hour Zoom session we’ll survey and explain some of the most impressive capabilities of current generation cameras that are often overlooked, misunderstood, or hidden within complex menus and manuals. We show examples and explain how and why you can use these extraordinary features, accessories, and tools (with a concentration on still photography, not video). We know you want to take engaging, memorable, high-impact photos. It’s true, you can “point and shoot” modern digital cameras. They can select all the settings for you. In many situations, your camera can take excellent photos even if you don’t know much about the underlying principles. However, your investment in learning PHOTOGRAPHIC FUNDAMENTALS will deliver big returns as you learn to guide your intelligent camera to do exactly what YOU want it to do. This workshop helps you understand the key concepts that enable you to make photographs that are more expressive, more precise, more compelling, and far more closely aligned with your creative vision.
